VPK Group launches the conversion of the DA Alizay industrial site, located in the Normandy region, into a hub for sustainable development in the circular economy. VPK Group announces to carry out the rebuilding of the paper machine with Valmet Oyj.

After almost a year of construction the 22.000 square meters production facility has been completed, and includes a range of state-of-the-art packaging converting machines for a greater production capacity. 

Double A Holdings and VPK Group, in association with Inova Pulp and Paper, launch a project to convert the DA Alizay industrial site into a Hub for sustainable development in circular economy.

VPK Group, one of the founding members of the pan-European alliance Blue Box Partners, has launched ECOGRIP, a corrugated alternative to shrink wrap for the multi-packing of a wide range of bottles that builds on the growing consumer demand for sustainable packaging. 

Yesterday, VPK Group came to an agreement with Canadian Overseas Packaging Industries (COPI) Ltd to buy Encase Ltd, manufacturer and designer of corrugated cardboard packaging. Encase Ltd operates two integrated corrugated packaging plants in England and one sheet plant in Scotland. It is VPK’s intention to merge Encase with its UK corrugated operations, formerly known as Rigid.

From today, VPK's corrugated packaging division will operate under a single brand name: VPK Packaging. VPK Packaging replaces the Ondulys, Rigid and Peterson brands in France, the UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries respectively. A new unified logo and visual identity reflect the overarching vision of the future that continues to foster environmental responsibility and local customer intimacy.

VPK Group continued to build on its solid long-term vision in 2019, of which sustainable growth and well-considered investments are an integral part of the strategy. The results of 2019 provide insight into a number of noteworthy investment projects that support the additional geographical expansion and the improvement and expansion of our product range within the packaging market.

Aalst, 15 May  2020 – VPK Group and Viallon Emballage agreed on a merger, strategically expanding VPK's network towards the French region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and broadening its range of corrugated packaging products and services.

The past month will go down in the history books as the first month in which we faced the impact of an unprecedented global pandemic, making its mark on everyone's life. A state of affairs within VPK Group.

The Dutch VPK site in Raamsdonksveer celebrated its 25th anniversary in November. It was a step that opened the door to the further internationalisation of VPK, todaya company with 65 sites in 20 countries. An excellent moment to look back at the rich history and entrepreneurial DNA of VPK in the Netherlands.
